Tutors FAQ

1. Who can register as a tutor 

Tutors must 

• at least 16 years old

• be a Singapore citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or hold a valid Student Pass,

2. How do I find a tutee?
 
Step 1: Sign up here as a tutor.

Step 2: Send us an email or reply to our email sent to you after signing up as a tutor, with documents of your qualification if you are a full time teacher/tutor or certificate if you are a part-time tutor.

Step 3: After being accepted as a tutor for Sincerelytutors, you will be added in a telegram group chat accordingly and you will get your assignments to tutees from there. Do check regularly to find your ideal assignment. 
 
 
3. Are there any agency fees for finding my tutee?
 
There will be no agency fees for the tutee however, we do charge a commission from our tutors, which is 50% of the 1st month’s tuition fee, for helping them find a tuition assignment.
 
For example, if the tuition fee for the 1st month is $200, we will collect $100 (half of $200) from the tutee. You will receive the remaining $100 from the tutee. After the 1st month there will be no additional charges and you will be receiving 100% of the tuition fees.

4. How do i know which tutor category i belong to?

 School teachers: Full time ex/current school teachers, either MOE or private/international schools.

Full time tutors: Graduated from schooling with either a diploma or a degree. Tutoring is your main source of income.

Part-time tutors: Does tutoring part-time. A levels/Diploma students or University undergraduates. 

5. What if the tutee terminate the tuition within the first month?

In the event where tuition classes are terminated within the first month, there will be no penalty fee to be paid from the tutee.

However, for the commission fees from the tutors, Sincerely Tutors will receive half of the tuition fees paid.

Example: If there was only 2 lessons and the total cost is $200, $100 will go to the tutor and the other $100 will be received by Sincerely Tutors.
